Elon Musk and Donald Trump are at it again. Exchanging words, threatening each other, making power moves in hopes that the other backs down. But none of them are backing down. Trump is still defending his massive spending bill, and Elon, still defending his position as the former head of DOGE. It’s getting ugly, and this is just the beginning.
After endless attacks from Elon Musk, Trump has finally decided it’s time to attack back. While taking some questions from reporters, Trump insinuated that deporting Elon was an option, shortly after he said he might even use Elon’s own DOGE against his companies. He then doubled down and said that if it weren’t for the endless subsidies that Elon Musk gets, he’d have to close shop, call it a night and fly back to South Africa. Tell us something we didn’t already know, Donald.
And Trump didn’t just say this in front of the cameras, he also posted it on his Truth Social app. It’s a dirty world inside the GOP inner circles. But Musk is far from staying quiet, or just retiring from politics. No, Musk wants more, he wants revenge. After all, he did spend billions to bankroll the election for Trump, help it swing his way — he even admitted that if it wasn’t for him, Trump would have lost a closely contested election to VP Kamala Harris, even losing the House, while Republicans would have kept just the Senate.
What kind of data Musk has to back this up, who knows. But the truth is, Musk did play a major role in pushing Trump over the finish line, as we’ve told you over and over again. Twitter became the largest propaganda machine ever produced, even surpassing Fox. And the problem with Twitter is that it spreads propaganda at a much faster rate than even Fox can. There’s no way that recoding an entire algorithm to push radical right-wing voices wasn’t going to make a difference. It did. But it wasn’t just on Twitter where Elon helped Trump, it was with the endorsement, the public appearances with Trump during the campaign, and the millions of other dollars spent through his Super PAC, and the millions of others gifted to voters.
Musk did it all, he’s right. From day one he went to war with Joe Biden’s administration and the Democrats. It wasn’t just a one-year kind of thing, it was four years in the making. And what has Donald Trump done? He’s betrayed him, tried his best to ignore him — pushing him away when things got difficult and millions protested Musk’s DOGE cuts. Donald Trump didn’t want that extra pressure, but outside of that, he also didn’t want someone else calling the shots. Exactly what Musk was doing.
Not only has Donald Trump pushed Musk away, humiliated him. Now, his new spending bill — all but destroying every little effort DOGE did to ‘cut away spending’ and get rid of “fraud,” throwing away all of Musk’s efforts, erasing his so-called progress and rendering Musk futile. And the nail in the coffin, the bill targets EV subsidies. Subsidies that Tesla needs to survive.
But Elon Musk won’t go down without a fight. He’s already exposed Trump’s connection to Epstein yet again, tweeting it out for his millions of followers to see, with millions more retweeting. That tweet alone must have gotten more impressions than almost anything Musk has tweeted this year. Trump can’t be too happy about that, and maybe that’s why he’s finally firing back.
This was Trump, back in June, just moments after Musk had taken to Twitter to attack him relentlessly:
These two are egomaniacs, and they won’t stop once their ego is bruised. While it’s true that Musk did end up backing down the last time (mainly as a result of Trump’s lack of response) now that Trump has given him what he wanted and needed, the threats, the massive spending bill passing the Senate, Musk has the green light to go after him hard.
He’s already promised to primary Republicans that support Donald Trump’s ‘big, beautiful bill’. Also promising to defend and even launch a new party with Republicans that oppose the bill and speak up against Trump’s betrayal of his promise to cut spending. This is surely to make the next midterms a real mess for the MAGA loyalists. And it’s going to get messy because Trump is not just going to sit back and watch. We’ve seen how Trump lashes out when his power gets threatened.
Let’s let these two go at each other. But that won’t stop us, that won’t distract us from the mess Musk got us into. The money, the influence, the cuts, the corruption. No, we’re still after Musk, we’re still after Trump, DOGE, the radical Republicans selling us out, the Russian influence, the traitors and the enablers, all of them. We will take no prisoners. But we can give it time. If Musk proves to be a worthy distraction, then we’ll focus on the main goal, defeating Trumpism. But we’ll never, ever forget the damage he’s done. Tesla is never to be forgiven, ever.
Let them fight. Let them eat each other, that’s all the extremist Republicans ever do. If this happening now, you can already imagine the sh*tshow that’s gonna go down in 2028 with an aging and debilitated Trump. It’s all set up for the making. We’ll be watching, we’ll be pushing, and as they eat each other, we’ll use that opportunity to break them once and for all.
We’re still in this fight. Are you?
