Superman Crushes MAGA

The numbers are in. Superman is crushing MAGA.

MAGA is just not having a great time lately. From the Jeffrey Epstein files debacle, Trump’s endless broken promises, infighting, massive pushback, and now comes Superman. Yes, for days the obsessive radical right began their attacks on the new Superman movie, featuring David Corenswet. And of course, Fox was running the anti-Superman campaign at full speed. Obsessing over so-called ‘wokeness’ and triggered by the movie’s immigrant themes.

“Superwoke” they called it. Well, “Superwoke” is absolutely killing it. The movie is smashing box-office records with an estimated $122 million in the North American box office over the weekend, making it the number one movie in the United States and Canada. The Warner Bros. and DC studio movie’s estimated budget was $255 million, meaning the movie is very much on track to earning its money back and making a profit. According to USA Today, the movie is the one of only three other films to debut with more than $100 million in domestic ticket sales in 2025.

As usual, conservatives had a meltdown. They couldn’t stand getting “lectured” by a movie, and as expected, they panicked at the fact that Superman was an immigrant. To be more specific, an alien. Literally their biggest fear. But it wasn’t just the pro-immigrant aspect that got them scared, it was the attributes of Superman: Kindness, decency, humility, respect. Basic humanity. All things that the far right completely fails to understand, or even care about.

But director James Gunn didn’t back down on the right’s vicious attacks on the film. He stood on principles, defying the attacks and ultimately shutting them down. We’ve seen how other movie directors often panic when they’re pushed and pressured about specific political and ideological stances, but not James Gunn. In response to the MAGA outrage, James said ‘I don’t have anything to say to anybody’ spreading hate’. Simple, direct and to the point. That’s how you do it. Listen to his full response below.

Green Lantern Nathan Fillion, who absolutely crushes it in the movie also had something to say regarding the MAGA backlash. “Somebody needs a hug, it’s just a movie guys, it’s just a movie.” MAGA is shut down twice. Or well, maybe three times once you account for the massive success the movie is having early on. A success that is not just happening domestically, but also globally. Maybe kindness is still popular after all.

Both responses were just spot on. Of course the movie is about kindness, about sending a positive message. Of course Superman is going to be intelligent and principled. And the movie doesn’t just send a positive message on immigration, it touches on other important topics, all while not entirely forcing any agenda (it still leaves a lot for interpretation) it certainly takes a stance on the side of justice, against hate, prejudice, war, twisted men and demagogues. And they do this all while bringing much-needed humor to this timeline.

But the MAGA weirdos, the extremists, they always want something new to be angry about. Someone to cancel, to attack. And this isn’t the first movie they’ve tried this with, this is just one of many. And the many more to come. But here’s the thing, MAGA loses when they don’t get their way, and they’re epically losing yet another battle, this time a battle of ideology. MAGA is on a roll lately, the Epstein files, the infighting, their own guy covering up for a pedophile. It’s sick.

And to make matters worse, MAGA is also losing ground on immigration, in real life — not just in the movies. New findings from Gallup show that Trump’s support on immigration issues is collapsing. Collapsing on almost every issue.

That won’t stop the creeps at Fox from trying their best to gaslight Americans. To lie about how “popular” Trump’s policies actually are, or how, allegedly, most Americans don’t want a ‘woke’ Superman. But they’re wrong. The numbers say it, the money says it. Even the reviews say it.

If you got through that insane clip, props to you. Seriously, they’re just sickos, depraved individuals that profit from the anger of the masses. That’s Fox. But again, their hysteria isn’t working, not this time. They’re losing ground, they’re losing support, and they’ll try it all in their desperate attempt to force their agenda on everyone. Kellyanne Conway said “I wonder if it’ll be successful,” well, you got your answer, Kellyanne.

It’s not just successful, it’s very successful. A hit. Superman is woke, in all the right ways. Deal with it, MAGA.
