Donald Trump is at war, with himself. Day by day, week by week, month by month, he’s turning away from someone: Campaign Trump. Unwilling or unable to deliver, and in a desperate attempt to boost his popularity and continue to go down the path of authoritarianism, he’s breaking his campaign promises left and right. But these aren’t just campaign promises, these are political philosophies Trump had incepted into his little brain decades ago. More than just promises, it’s who he was, what he stood for.
And MAGA has taken notice. Shortly after Trump’s decision to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities, masses of hardcore MAGAs, and even some of the other Trump voters took to social media to share their frustration with his decision. “No new wars.” Remember? But of course, MAGA will be MAGA, and in the end, an overwhelming majority ended up giving Trump the benefit of the doubt — specially after the quickly announced ceasefire, a ceasefire which has already been broken by both parties, at least technically speaking. But hey, MAGAs aren’t the only voters in the country.
According to the latest poll, 64% of independents disagree on US airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, with 87% of Democrats disapproving as well. And well, there’s that 15% Republicans. But more importantly, there are still MAGAs breaking with Trump, and while it may not be happening at a large scale, the numbers add up. And so does the narrative. The narrative that Trump is backing out from MAGA, slowly turning into some neoconservative version, everything he once hated, a RINO, George W. Bush’s third term.
That’s all you see here. And it’s not just us saying it, people like Joe Rogan are calling it out, Candace Owens, Dave Smith, even Marjorie Taylor Greene took to Twitter to voice her opposition to the new conflict. And remember, there’s a whole faction of the far-right in America that despises Israel. Surely those folks can’t be too happy to see Trump drop bombs on Iran, in great part due to Israel’s Netanyahu. “Jews will not replace us.” Have you forgotten already? That’s still a percentage of his base, his voters.
In a sit-down with Bernie Sanders, Joe Rogan himself talked about this new divide within MAGA, acknowledging Trump’s broken promise of no new conflicts. And that’s not the only promise Trump has either broken or just completely failed to fulfill. He still hasn’t ended the war in Ukraine, no ceasefire deal reached with Vladimir Putin, no resolution to the chaos in Gaza, and to make matters worse — he’s all but empowered Netanyahu to expand the conflict. Prices are still too high, with the economy constantly shaky due to Trump’s incompetence. It’s nothing but broken promises, except for of course, chasing down migrants, attacking the press, ignoring court rulings, and acting like a proper dictator.
While MAGA celebrates all of Trump’s insanity, they don’t like it when he fails to deliver, or when he delivers the complete opposite of what he promised, like higher prices due to his disastrous economic “plan.” But Trump is also losing popularity as a result of the promises he’s actually keeping — he’s such a disaster that he’s in a lose-lose situation. The latest polls are disastrous for him, and is not just the post-Iran polls, it’s also polls on very specific issues like the economy, and even immigration.
Now let’s go back to Iran for a moment. Yes, the strikes were a premature idea. No matter how much you hate the regime, or how much you care about Israel’s defense, no other president had struck Iran nuclear facilities for a reason. First, it only helps to solidify Iran’s desire for nuclear armament, second, it also pushes them to distrust America and the West even more (uniting them in their cause), and lastly it risks a major conflict, even more significant than what we’ve already witnessed in the Middle East in recent years.
But even worse, they missed. It at least appears that Trump’s strikes on Iran weren’t as successful as the White House initially suggested. According to US intel, the strikes only set Iran’s nuclear program back a few months. Months, just months. They risked a massive, catastrophic conflict, just to barely make a dent on Iran’s nuclear program. And the cost? At least 7 Israelis dead in Beersheba following Iran’s retaliation, with a ballistic missile strike just moments before the ceasefire, a final wave of attacks.
That’s not to mention military costs, the risks, and Iran’s strikes on US military bases in Qatar. But it would make sense for Iran to accept a ceasefire deal so shortly, if the strikes weren’t as critical, it would make sense for them to accept a quick resolution, after all, they had been striking Israel for days even prior to US involvement in Iran. It also makes sense why the Trump administration postponed classified briefings for lawmakers. Trump wants everyone blind, he doesn’t want to take the heat from what appears to be a pretty unsuccessful operation.
Does this portray confidence to you? Does it look like success? It’s fear, desperation. We’re on to him, and so are his own followers. Even some of them aren’t falling for this bullsh*t, endless excuses, broken promises, lies, deception, and more ‘tough guy’ political plays. Trump wasn’t elected to play tough on conflicts that hadn’t even exploded before he was sworn in for a second time, he was elected to end all the ongoing conflicts, bring prices down, oh and of course, destroy liberals, the press, wokeness, and immigrants in the process.
No, all Trump did was look stupid. Impulsive, playing ‘tough guy’ again while doing his best to reveal our top secrets, warning the enemy of our every move, then striking and taking victory laps all while missing the bullseye. Here are the actual details summarized: Iran’s nuclear program was only set back by a few months, maybe less. It appears that the uranium was moved ahead of time (this is confirmed by both the lack of radiation from the impact site, as well as Trump officials confirming they do not know the exact location of the uranium), the reactors weren’t targeted (confirmed by the Pentagon), and it appears that even the centrifuges mostly survived. All that risk, all that playing with fire, just to achieve the bare minimum.
And while we can all agree that regimes with nuclear power at a bad mix, it’s about the timing, and the way in which we do things. While intel shows that Iran was 3 to 8 months from nuclear weapon — there was no sign that they planned to go for it. This is exactly why we had a deal in place. The deal that he, himself ended. Then came up with nothing to replace it.
The good news is even some of the legacy media pointing out the obvious. The strikes did nothing to make us, or Israel safer. And we’re not closer to world peace than we were before the strikes. It’s all just a show, a game. They play with our lives and we pay the price. And to be fair, it’s not just Trump. It’s all these tough guys running politics like a show, gaslighting the masses and entering conflicts over pure paranoia or ego.
The truth is, without good, solid hits, bullseye, this conflict is far from over. The ceasefire might be taking place (though even Trump admitted it was violated), but the war goes on. The Middle East is still a mess. If the strikes did truly only set the program back a few months, that means Iran will now double down on their need for nuclear weaponry, all to prevent further attacks from someone exactly like Trump.
They’ll keep on and on, and all this means is Trump will have to strike again somewhere in his remaining time in office, remember, we’re just about six months in. Six months and look at where we are. The truth is, unless he’s able to somehow come up with a new deal, a real deal, not a TACO type of deal, more strikes will come in the future, or even attempts at regime change (he’s already floated the idea). And if that’s the case, he’s already broken one of his biggest campaign promises: No new wars.
We know where Trump is still keeping his most loyal base happy, on immigration. But even there, he’s losing the battle as his policy becomes so destructive that more and more people notice. And make no mistake, Trump is still very much at war with himself. Government spending is up. Elon Musk was kicked to the curb, humiliated, that’s when he lashed out. DOGE is all but obsolete (that’s good for us, but the damage is done). Trump never cared about government spending, his new bill is a joke. No ceasefire deal with Russia. No resolution in Gaza. Prices still too high, and he’s backed out endlessly on his tariffs, so much so that he became TACO. America first? Failed. And draining the swamp? He’s become the swamp. Even Tucker Carlson knows it.
And here’s another famous UFC fighter that voted for Trump unhappy:
Notice the likes. 53,000. These are the voters that Trump and the Republicans could lose the next midterms, maybe even in 2028. But of course, it’s still too early to tell.
And here’s yet another famous Trump supporter and voter who now hates Trump too:
Welcome to the new Trump era, it’s more of the same domestically, more chaos, with a hint of Bushism. More hateful, more extremist, more authoritarian than ever, but also more willing to betray his own for political gain, legacy, and posturing. This time, no one is safe, not even the MAGAs. Most of them will fall in line, but in the end, no one will be safe from the destruction that Trump will continue to unleash here at home, and even overseas.
he said those things to get elected… authoritarianism was always the goal and whatever he has to do to achieve it
And yet dems won’t impeach- why is that? 13 million protested and for what?
